When decorating for the seasons or holidays I like to create sprinkles or moments around my home. One of those moments is my coffee bar area. I get SO EXCITED to decorate it and redecorate it throughout the seasons! However, I do not go all out on patriotic decor. I love patriotic decor and the USA, but I like to keep it simple. My patriotic coffee bar decor ideas are easy, affordable, and simple for the summer season.
Let me go ahead and show you what I did, and give you all my tips and tricks that will save you money!
My Tips and Tricks to Decorating Your Coffee Bar on a Budget
Tip #1: Always shop your home first!
I go around my home and look for any decor I own that is red, white, and blue. An example of that is I use my red Christmas mugs. I turn the wording around and you would never know it is a Christmas mug. It looks great and I didn’t have to spend any money!
For some other examples, I found red, white, and blue kitchen utensils, a white cake stand, and some blue antique mason jars. It is so fun to get creative and see what you find in your home!
Tip #2: Shop for decor at the DollarTree
If you save money and still get inexpensive decor, why not right? So I first shop at Dollar Tree.
I found the cutest patriotic garland from there, and it was only $1.25!
My next find was a patriotic-colored scarf. I didn’t know where I was going to put it or what I was going to use it for. So I of course bought it! The pattern was so cute! I hung it from my large cutting board and I love it! Don’t be afraid to use items you normally wouldn’t use in a space as decor. It’s fun to get creative!
The small American flags are the perfect addition and can be purchased from there as well.
Tip #3: Spring decor transfers easily into patriotic decor.
I kept the blue antique mason jars that I use for spring and just took the pink spring florals out. I replaced them with the red, white, and blue kitchen utensils I found. You can also add small American flags or red and white florals.
Tip #4: Make some of your decor don’t just buy it.
By making your decor you can save money. Plus, when someone says I love that patriotic wooden block where did you get it? You can say with pride, I made it!

When Do You Decorate Your Coffee Bar
I start to decorate my patriotic coffee bar right before Memorial Day. I leave it up all summer long as there is the 4th of July as well. It gives me a little break from decorating before I change over to my fall decor. When my fall decor comes out it is A LOT! I find it is an easy way to slow down for the summer season, before the wonderful craziness hits of the fall and Christmas seasons.
